Abstract

Abstract: In order to reflect on racial ethnic issues, culture, memory, and how these issues have been meant by discourse within the school space; this article aims to address the extension actions carried out by a group of researchers, who sought to effect different extensionist action fronts that could contribute to the training of education professionals in the Tocantins Amazon. As results, it was possible to identify a constant growth in the index of interest and involvement not only of educators, but of representatives, union leaders in the discussions held by extension projects and in the selection of students of the Graduate Program in Education and Culture of UFPA; with racial ethnic themes; thus making a more democratic use of the university space by these Afro-indigenous communities.
