Abstract

Gamification is gaining more and more space in organizations, as a way to improve performance and results in decision making and group work among workers. It aims to assist workers to develop technical, behavioral and managerial skills by preparing them in certain scenarios of an organization. Gamification is a topic of research interest in several areas, including, more recently, in management. Therefore, the present literature review aims to analyze how gamification can bring benefits to both workers and organizations. It is possible to conclude that gamification, when well worked, enhances the feeling of belonging of workers in the organization, increasing motivation and engagement and, consequently, brings organizational gains. However, it is necessary to think and rethink gamification and their impact on people and organizations.
