This article intends to present a brief overview of the extension activities developed, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, by the Coletivo de Dança Redemoinho: an extension project from Universidade Federal da Paraíba. For that, we wish to observe the principles of university extension, problematize notions related to the impacts of the pandemic on life in society and analyze purposeful artistic practices in the fight against contamination by the new coronavirus. Methodologically, we organized the text in a critical-reflective report format, seeking to establish studies on extension actions as practices of social impact. The results demonstrated the importance of extension projects relating to problem situations of social scope for strengthening the relationships established between the knowledge developed at the university and the panorama of life in society.
