Soft skills have become a fundamental element for successful job performance, as they enhance adaptability, interpersonal relationships, and professional efficiency. These competencies, which include effective communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and resilience, transcend specific technical knowledge and are positioned as determining factors for employability and professional growth. The educational system faces the challenge of integrating these skills transversally into its training processes. Although their importance is widely recognized, a tendency persists to prioritize disciplinary content over the development of socio-emotional or "soft" skills. This creates a disconnect between academic training and current labor market demands, where soft skills are increasingly valued. |From a pedagogical perspective, collaborative and experiential learning emerges as the most effective way to develop these capabilities. Social interaction, real-life problem-solving, and working in diverse contexts are essential for their consolidation. Educational institutions must therefore rethink their methodologies to create spaces that foster not only knowledge and hard skills, but also transversal competencies, such as those discussed in this article.
