THE TEACHING OF PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE AND INFORMATION CURATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN PIRES DO RIO–GO

Abstract

This article was developed based on research conducted in public schools in Pires do Rio–GO and aims to verify if teachers have knowledge of theories related to both textual and discursive genres, as well as the normative documents of education. A questionnaire was applied through Google Forms, and data analysis was carried out according to Marchuschi (2008), Bakhtin (1992), García (2019), the BNCC (2018), and the DCGO–EM (2021). The research results showed that information curation is not yet a constant practice in Textual Production classes, and some teachers are not familiar with this practice. It was also observed that emerging genres from the internet are not studied in the classroom. Therefore, when consulting the internet, students are susceptible to falling victim to fake news and misinformation, as well as potentially spreading such erroneous or incorrect knowledge.

Graduação em Letras - Língua Portuguesa e Língua Inglesa e Respectivas Literaturas pela Universidade Estadual de Goiás (2000) e Pós-graduação (2002) pela Universidade Salgado de Oliveira. Ex-professora da Universidade Estadual de Goiás, onde também atuou como coordenadora do curso de Letras. Atualmente é professora concursada na Secretaria Estadual de Educação dos Estados de Goiás (onde também foi gestora escolar e tutora educacional) e de Tocantins.

Especialização em Psicopedagogia (2005) - UEG - UnU de Pires do Rio - Goiás, Especialização em Linguística Aplicada: Ensino-Aprendizagem em Línguas Estrangeiras (2010) - Universidade Federal de Goiás. Atualmente é professor no Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Urutaí. Professor permanente do PPG-EnEB. Com experiência em Ensino Superior junto a Universidade Estadual de Goiás e Instituto Federal Goiano, e na educação básica e função de Gestor Educacional junto a SEDUCE/GO. Atuando na área de Letras e Linguística, com ênfase em Línguas e Literaturas, com os seguintes temas: educação, inclusão, ensino de LE e prática pedagógica, léxico, toponímia e ecolinguística.
