The basic concept of the democratic Stateis the notion of government of the people that requiresfor its performance in the current context the establishmentof principles or rights that are implicit in the natureof this political system, contributing to its preservation,among which we can mention equality, freedomand political rights. We can say that political rights orcitizenship is a charge brought by each citizens and itgives the right and responsibility to participate activelyin political life of the State, both by vote, referendum,plebiscite and by popular initiative or through a controlover the actions of government leaders, verifying andmonitoring compliance with the principles of morality,integrity, legality, respect the historical, cultural andnational environmental, principles that can be protectedby constitutional guarantees, such as the popular action,which is active legitimacy of the citizen. We must emphasizethat the search for public policies aimed at thesocial and the greater popular participation, the implementationof education are very important for the preservationof a democratic regime.Downloads
