Structuring Principles of the Education and Teaching System in Angola:Their Impact on the Implementation of the Right to Education and Teaching

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Education and teaching constitute fundamental values ​​that enable individuals to achieve the full development of their human personality, strengthen respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and provide access to cultural heritage and cognitive, affective, and moral resources. Indeed, to guarantee and enforce this right, it is necessary to institutionalize an education and teaching system, ensured by principles that support the system itself and guarantee the right it purports to protect. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the structuring principles of the Education and Teaching System in Angola, through current legislation, to gain a comprehensive understanding of how these rights are guaranteed within this system. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted within an analytical framework of comprehensive and descriptive nature, based on bibliographic and documentary analysis on the right to education and teaching. Therefore, although the Right to Education and Teaching in Angola is constitutionally guaranteed and supported by fundamental principles that aim to ensure its effectiveness, its realization requires continuous efforts on the part of the State and society. To this end, it is necessary to invest in effective public policies, adequate infrastructure and training of education professionals, so that the established principles do not remain only at the normative level, but translate into reality for all citizens.
