The Right to the Body in Nietzsche and Foucault

Abstract

The article analyzes the critical possibilities of Nietzsche and Foucault's thinking from the concept of the body. If for Nietzsche, philosophy is a poor understanding of the body, for Foucault it is the possibility of rethinking subjectivity itself. From these readings, it will be possible to reflect on the right to the body as a reinvention of life.

Miroslav Milovic, nascido na ex-Iugoslávia, foi professor da UnB, com dois doutorados em Filosofia: um pela Université Paris-Sorbonne (França) e outro pela Universität Frankfurt am Main (Alemanha), além de um pós-doutorado em filosofia pela Universidade de Ioannina (Grécia). Antes de trabalhar na UnB, foi professor na Chiba University (Japão), Universidad de Granada (Espanha), Middle East Technical University (Turquia) e Universidade de Belgrado (ex-Iugoslávia).
