Abstract

The objective of this text is to make an theoretical essay on a personal experience of a History teacher, in order to evaluate dilemmas and challenges, lived supposedly by teachers of History trained in analog times who do not well internalize the so-called virtues and facilities of teaching digital history, examining how these teachers envision their future and how courses of History should take to deal with  the new digital reality and students full of public demands for History. This reality offers arguments for those who claim the need for History to occupy virtual space as an indisputable condition for their permanence as professional trainers in a context of student audiences that do not identify historical knowledge a legitimization for what they are and will be.

Bruno Flávio Lontra Fagundes, Universidade Estadaul do Paraná (UNESPAR), Curitiba, Paraná, Brasil.

Doutor em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, com Estágio Doutoral na École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris. Atualmente é professor efetivo do curso de História e integra o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ensino de História (PROFHISTÓRIA), da Universidade Estadaul do Paraná (UNESPAR).
