Abstract

The study analyzed issues about gender and sexuality in the ENEM Languages book, related to Physical Education, between 2020-2023. The documentary corpus consisted of 8 books of Languages, applied in ENEM, in the three versions of the test. The analysis was organized in critical reading of the books, identification of the Physical Education that addressed gender and sexuality, and analysis of the content and of the items. A total of 39 items were identified, among which 11 addressed gender, and sexuality. We organized 5 categories: women in male reserve sports, gender inequalities in sport, masculinities, sexuality, and normative femininity. It is concluded that there have been advances in the visibility of the gender and sexuality theme in the Physical Education items of ENEM.
