This bibliographic study aimed to promote reflection on oral history as a research source, highlighting its importance for investigations into the history of Physical Education in state of Pará, based on Faro's thesis (2021). The analysis of the work revealed that there is a long way to go regarding research around this topic. It is concluded that the use of oral history as a research source can contribute to a more inclusive, authentic, and transformative history. In the particular case of the history of Physical Education in Pará, oral history constitutes a substantial tool for investigating events, institutions, knowledge, and people who have been invisible and/or less (re)recognized in this past.
