SPORTS MANAGEMENT TRAINING IN THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN BRAZIL

Abstract

National Curricular Guidelines 2018 for the training of Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education in Brazil included topics related to management in the curricular components. However, there is only one study on the topic at a national level, dated 2018. The objective was to analyze the teaching of Sports Management in Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education courses in the country. Quantitative and qualitative information was collected from 42 HEIs. We were found outdated pedagogical projects and limited access to content and basic bibliography; increase in the number of subjects offered; diversity of approaches, and limited inclusion of contemporary topics and internships practice. It was concluded that there is no consistency in the content taught on Sports Management in the courses analyzed.
