Abstract

The objective of this paper is to discuss the issue of Children Education, focusing on the process of teachers’ formation for the pedagogical intervention in the childhood of Brazilians. Therefore, aspects of educational public policies and theoretical productions of Brazilian investigators about infancy and children education were surveyed, in an attermpt to contribute with the necessity to (re)evaluate the role of teachers in a perspective that takes into account the specificity of the child’s cultural production.
