This text aims to present reflections made in the teaching of the discipline of Philosophical Foundations of School Physical Education from its thematic and methodological structuring. Throughout the semester, the main philosophical and pedagogical currents that shaped the constitution of school Physical Education and its characteristics, authors, and fundamental issues were addressed. In order to promote greater engagement and appropriation of the developed knowledge, active learning dynamics were proposed in each module. The continuous interplay among these elements revealed the potential of teaching Philosophy for a critical understanding of the processes of body education and pedagogical practice.
