The objective of this study was to analyze and understand how university Physical Education teachers from a public educational institution relate the themes of body, health and leisure throughout their professional careers. Using a qualitative approach, 11 semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight male and three female teachers, aged between 40 and 64, who graduated between 1970 and 1990. Thus, we can state that working conditions influenced the “weight gain” of teachers and that, despite not having time, they try to adopt so-called healthy habits.
