Inserção dos profissionais de Educação Física no SUS: uma análise do cenário do estado do Espírito Santo

This descriptive and qualitative study aimed to analyze the panorama of Physical Education Professionals in the Unified Health System in the State of Espírito Santo, identifying their representation compared to other health professionals, as well as the distribution and type of employment of these professionals. The results showed that the number of Physical Education Professionals is undersized, occupying the ninth position among ten categories surveyed. Furthermore, only 25 (32%) of the 78 municipalities have this professional working in the health teams, whose link appears to be precarious in almost half of the records found. This panorama reveals a tendency towards precarious work, which can compromise the resoluteness of health care actions.
