The concepts corporality and corporeity have been used by authors in ways that both signal differences and synonyms. This paper aims to analyze the epistemological perspective of the concept of corporality in Brazilian physical education texts published between 2000 and 2020. This is a qualitative work that assumes the methodological principles of a narrative review. The results demonstrate that physical education authors tend to use this concept, activating notions that indicate the presence of Marxism, although other epistemological matrices have been identified. Thus, it is concluded that the concept of corporality can be adopted within the scope of dialectical materialism in Brazilian physical education despite suggesting new studies.
