This study aims problematize aspects related to the waiver of Physical Education classes in technical courses in Brazil, considering possible reflections in the current days of legislation that made the teaching of Physical Education optional. We can believe that the waiver of Physical Education classes in high school technical courses is linked to legislation that has delegitimized this discipline over the years. This legislation, although it has made this practice a compulsory curricular field, constituted it as optional in some cases and situations, giving way to doubts about its importance for the student's education. This research is a qualitative exploratory study whose instruments are documentary and bibliographic research.
