Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production of scientific articles referring to the inclusion of indigenous physical practices in Physical Education classes at school published in national journals. The research time frame was from 2011 to 2021 and included eight journals in the area of Physical Education belonging to WebQualis of CAPES A1~B2. Sixteen studies were selected, of which only four were related to school Physical Education classes. We conclude that, despite the fact that indigenous physical practices are obligatorily included in the content of Physical Education classes, the conclusions surrounding this theme are insufficiently produced, making it essential to deepen in the area in question, aiming to contribute to the appreciation of Brazilian native culture and improve their quality of life.
