This article aims to identify and characterize the difficulties that Physical Education (EF) teachers encounter in attending in their classes, students with intellectual disabilities (ID). The data were collected through bibliographic research, together with CAPES Portal and DIALNET platforms. 21 works were selected for analysis. The results were organized into three categories: difficulties attributed to teacher training; difficulties attributed to teaching strategies and difficulties attributed to school management. We consider that in describing the difficulties encountered by EF teachers to include students with ID, the study made it possible to envisage suggestions for improving the quality of training, pedagogical practice and administrative issues.
