Abstract

The study analyzed the perception of the multidisciplinary team about the work of the Physical Education professional in a psychiatric hospitalization unit. The results suggest that the other professionals identify the performance of the physical educator in the psychiatric hospitalization, but they point out difficulties to understand the work of these professionals and their functions with the patients . It was concluded, then, that the work of the Physical Education professional is recognized and considered important by the other professionals involved in psychiatric hospitalization.
