Abstract

Journalist from Brazil’s southeastern region plunged during a few days in an everyday life that is totallydifferent from what they usually experience: they went through the daily life of the Brazilian Pantanal. Theaim of this article is to ponder on the reactions of the professionals who took part in the experiment, whichwas carried out within a Corporate Communication project. Ethnographic research is the foundation ofthe adopted methodology. The results indicate that the press professionals went through a sensation ofamazement in that environment, yet one team later developed cognitive dissonance, as they felt disturbed inthat setting.
