Abstract

The objective of this article is to present a studywhich examines the notion of an imaginary reader ona printed medium. Considering prior literature, whichconsiders the act of consumption and thenewsmaking routine, we focus on the comprehension of the image that the journalists have about theirtarget audience. We conducted qualitative research inthe political section of Zero Hora newspaper, in PoAlegre. The results of this study provide interestinginformation about the object of the study as well asclues for reflections and suggestions for future studies
