MASCULINE PSEUDOHERMAPHRODITE IN AMERICAN PIT-BULL TERRIER DOG (A CASE REPORT)

Abstract

An American Pit Bull Terrier dog was attended to in the Veterinary Hospital- UNESP Jaboticabal. The dog, seven mounths old, presented exagerated masculine beha¬viour, althougth feminine fenotype. Through clinic survey and cirurgical it was confirmed the presence of testis and penile clitoris. Some complements tests were done such as pelvic radiography and cariotype, confirming a case of mas¬culine pseudohermaphrodite with 78 XY cromossomes. KEY-WORDS: Dog, pseudohermaphrodite.
