The study had its beginning from a reflection on the scientific practice within the Naturology course of Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina (UNISUL). As a perspective cut, we sought to understand the comprehension on the notion of Transdisciplinarity, a fundamental concept both in postmodernity, as in the curricular construction of the undergraduate degree in Naturology in UNISUL. It was observed in hermeneutic-phenomenological way the teaching orality, raised from a research meeting, when inquiring about the personal formation and the transdisciplinary understanding of the teachers. Based on interviews, the Essential Synthetic Interpretations (ESI) were constructed, which meant the understanding of the themes. The results were organized into: Education, Naturology and Transdisciplinarity and their adjacent subcategories. These categories followed a hermeneutic dialectic in a spiral. Bringing to light the understanding of Transdisciplinarity implies thinking about the non-hierarchization of knowledge, enabling an ethical, human and ecosystemic value that guarantees life in its essential diversity.
