Abstract

This research was developed during the doctoral course in education in the Amazon at PGEDA/UFPA/UFT linked to the CNPQ Gepce/minorities research group. The text puts into debate the homophobia experienced by gay teachers who work in rural schools of the Amazon region, Pará. It is a research within the scope of the post-critical curriculum, whose data were generated through semi-structured interviews. For the analyses, Ralf Bonsach's documentary method was used. The results show that the minority social subjects suffer explicit homophobia and veiled homophobia in their relationships with the intra/extra-school community and that gay teachers give a new meaning to the homophobic violence suffered when guide a humanized and solidary education.
