Throughout history, games have played a crucial role in human life, present from childhood to adulthood, transcending cultural and social barriers, going beyond mere entertainment. In the educational context, the introduction of didactic games in Geography teaching, especially with a focus on the concept of landscape, provides an active approach to exploring the complexity of geographic space. This research investigates the development and application of educational games in the teaching and learning process of Geography, with an emphasis on the concept of landscape. The methodology adopted for this research is an exploratory action research, using content analysis to cross-reference the collected information. The study was conducted at Colégio Evoluir Júnior, a private institution located in the Janga neighborhood of Paulista (PE), with a 6th-grade class composed of 37 students. The research results indicate that the students' experience with educational games was significant, contributing to the teaching and learning process. The educational games were effective in developing a critical awareness of environmental changes and in aiding the understanding of the concept of landscape. This experience highlights the importance of creative pedagogical methodologies in promoting a deeper understanding of the concept of landscape and its transformations, as well as allowing students to become active subjects in the construction of their knowledge and more conscious and engaged citizens with the environment in which they live.
