Abstract

This article is an excerpt from the author's doctoral thesis and constitutes a theoretical discussion. It investigates the relationships between the spatial practices of Geography teaching students and didactic mediation in Geography education. To this end, it discusses the insertion of these subjects into the current class-based society and the role of higher education in teacher training. Next, it analyzes the progression of teaching students, emphasizing the importance of everyday spatial practices – living, working, studying, commuting, and staying – for the development of pedagogical strategies. Finally, the study proposes integrating these practices into pedagogical actions, aiming for a teaching praxis that connects theory, practice, and social transformation.
