THE INTENTION OF TEACHER AND STUDENT PERCEPTION FOR Clarification OBJECTIVES IN CLASSES L2

The evidence, each day more frequent, about the great discrepancy betweenteacher intention and student perception has led classroom researchers to the
conclusion that the pedagogical purpose of a class must be informed to the
student. But is it true that the presentation of objectives narrows the gap
between teacher intention and student interpretation? This study compares a
teacher’s and three students’ perceptions of the aim of two classes, one in
which objectives are stated and another in which they remain unstated.
