Abstract

This paper describes the investigation of how processes of sitting and standing up are expressed in reports produced by native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese (BP) or Uruguayan Spanish (US). The structure aimed consists of the verb to be and the verb in the past participle. Considering that there are specific ways to express both processes on BP and US, would there be differences between what is said and what is inferred? Lucas Mario Dacuña Badaracco possui Graduação e Mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel). Atualmente, é discente de Doutorado do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Linguística da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Desenvolve pesquisa na área da Linguística Cognitiva, com ênfase nos processos de categorização.

Mirian Rose Brum-de-Paula, Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel), Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul

Possui Graduação em Letras Português-Francês (UFSM -1987), Maîtrise de Français Langue Etrangère (Université de Franche Comté -1989), Especialização em Formation de Formateurs (Centre dÉtudes Pédagogiques de Sèvres - 1991), Mestrado em Linguistique-Sémiotique-Communication (Université de Franche Comté - 1990) e Doutorado em Sciences du Langage Linguistique et Phonétique (Université de Paris X-Nanterre - 1998). Atualmente, é professora da Graduação e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel). É lider do Grupo de Pesquisa Emergência da Linguagem Oral - ELO e coordenadora científica do laboratório LELO. Tem experiência na área de Lingüística, com ênfase em Aquisição da Linguagem (L1 e L2), atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: aquisição fonológica, aquisição da temporalidade morfológica, linguagem e cognição.
