Abstract

This article presents the Symposium of the Autobiographical Artistic Practices Research Group – SiNuPAA origins and describes the events held in 2017, 2020, and 2021. As the high point of the artistic and autobiographical investigation processes conducted in the NuPAA/UFG/CNPq research group, the annual symposiums have been affording crucial moments for communicating research results in the presence of the artworks themselves. From the origins of the word “symposium,” it is observed that SiNuPAAs have been opening spaces for sharing, creating, and articulating critical thinking and actions at the confluence of the arts, the auto/biographical studies, and decolonial studies.
