Abstract

Innovations in the sphere of health promotion should seek health education and communication actions. Neurolinguistics is the part of science that studies the brain's elaboration of language. Musical memory works from the activation of areas such as the hippocampus, which is related to the retrieval of learned knowledge. The Word Health project is based on this associative process and brings together texts guided by cognitive linguistics from everyday entries and music, connecting health education with individual memories. The use of mini-programs in Podcasts was the most viable tool in the pandemic context, and dissemination on radio and digital music platforms ensured the project's reach. During 2020, 10 mini-programs were created and disseminated. The objective was achieved, connecting new knowledge and an affective memory, and it was possible to conclude that there was a gain in the scope of health promotion among listeners and inhabitants of Vale do Jequitinhonha.
