Abstract: This article aims to analyze, in a brief overview, the trajectory of the Mais Cultura nas Universidades (More Culture in Universities) Program. The authors study the management process of this inducing policy based on the political construction of the Ministry of Culture in conjunction with the Ministry of Education for this institution, the demand fostered by University Culture Plans, until the end of the aforementioned Program. Since the management of this interministerial policy was a pioneering challenge for all entities involved in this process, the study records its memory and highlights the complexity of establishing strategies to legitimize the place of culture in higher education and brings purposeful reflections on its financing modality.
