Abstract

The visual essay presented is the result of the return of a partnership of teaching, research and extension of UFPA with the African continent, specifically with Benin. It deals with a show that aimed to present to readers the importance of nature in the daily life of society and how it is possible to think of extensionist actions that detain the partner relations between Brazil and Africa. The photos were produced in 2021 by a Benin exchange student in the town of Natitingou located in Northern Benin as part of a field research. This city that is full of historical spaces reveals to us increasingly its immesity and its diversity. We have here in this essay a sample of traditional knowledge of this community that can be observed in the photographs of the return of the exchange student to his homeland, with the objective of sharing the knowledge experienced in the extension action with Brazil and Benin, and these incredible moments experienced in Natitingou.
