This article intends to share the actions of
univesity research and extension linked to the education of
ethnic-racial relations developed in the context of the Grupo
de Pesquisa Cena Preta - Quilombo: a group created in 2020,
at the Department of Performing Arts, at the Federal
University of Paraíba, with the objective to bring together
and aquilombar afro-brazilian students, professors and
researchers. The intention is to organize discursive elements
about the urgency of valuing afro-referenced perspectives in
the educational and artistic environment. To develop the
investigation in question, conceptual interactions were
developed with Hooks (2017), Kilomba (2019), Veiga (2019),
among others. Methodologically, the text was organized in a
critical-reflective report format, seeking to establish studies
on research and extension actions as practices of academic
relevance and social coverage. The expected results are
related to the generation and strengthening of actions to
combat racial oppression within the university.
