Abstract

This study aims to present the Extension Course "Environmental Psychology and well-being in the institutions" and the results obtained from the activities carried out under this project in the second half of 2019, at the Central Library of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. The activities and objectives of the Course are presented, as well as a brief theoretical review on the library environment, characteristics of the library under analysis, methods and results of research, evaluation and intervention for the place. It was possible to identify, from the studies of person-environment relations, positive aspects or that can be improved in the library space. Proposals have been launched in this sense and are also described, hoping to create relationships of greater well-being and affective bonds between the university community and its areas of activity.
