Abstract

The large and small reserves belonging to the municipality of Campo Grande - MS, have presented serious problems regarding irregular construction and deforestation, produc-ing a degradation of vegetation and serious consequences for the whole ecosystem, mainly the lack of community awareness and education local. With the community interaction, ob-servations were made at the site, where it was possible to classify the area as degraded, so this project aims to use the Plant Enrichment method of the Reserve with local community interaction. The method was to produce tree seedlings of the regional native species and to plant in the reserve with the help of the local community, making the ecosystem closer to that originally existing. The results presented with the community interaction in the reserve were excellent, some species of the planted tree seedlings showed good developments. We conclude that this community interaction has resulted in a new awareness of education and preserva-tion of the environment in native reserves.
