CORA CORALINA E SUA CASA SILENCIOSA
Abstract
Por escolha própria e para tornar-se diferente das demais meninas nascidas na cidade de Goiás, orago de Santana, que lhes inspirava o nome, Ana Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto escolheu chamar-se Cora Coralina e com tal pseudônimo assinar o que escrevia. Tinha pouca instrução, mas era inteligente e observadora. Muitos anos depois, Cora Coralina publicou seu primeiro livro2 , o enviou a alguns escritores e Carlos Drummond de Andrade, por meio de uma crônica, deu início àquilo que Gilberto Mendonça Teles chama de mito. Sem entrar no mérito da obra de Cora, Drummond louvou a personagem idosa que come- çava a publicar versos singelos.
