Art Déco em Campina Grande (PB): valorização, patrimonialização e esquecimento
Abstract
As lembranças de infância e juventude de Jackson do Pandeiro, tão recorrentes em seu universo musical, evocam os sons dos emboladores de coco da feira de Campina Grande, os cheiros das mercadorias expostas, as músicas dos cassinos, os sotaques de uma cidade com ares cosmopolitas, os banhos no açude de Bodocongó, as lapadas de cachaça tomadas nos botecos da zona do meretrício, as confusões, algazarras e peixeiradas dos forrós e cabarés, as noites em claro na cama das rameiras. O ritmo frenético do então pandeirista iniciante parece cadenciar uma paisagem em aceleradas expansão e transformação ao longo das décadas de 1930 e 1940. (Continua...)Downloads
