Abstract

The paper aims to discuss the impacts of Artificial Intelligence in the field of the Administration of Justice and its consequences on the effective delivery of justice. It pinpoints the challenges and implications of implementing Artificial Intelligence in courts. Considering the dialogue provided by the bibliographic research and a deductive method, the paper concludes that Artificial Intelligence offers excellent opportunities to support more focused initiatives for the delivery of justice and enables sophisticated measurements of the effectiveness of the justice system, especially in the context of institutionalised practices that combine knowledge of judicial processes with information technology.

Doutor pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração (PPGA) da Universidade de Brasília. Professor Doutor de Gestão e Administração Pública na Universidade do Distrito Federal (UnDF - GDF). Mestre e Bacharel em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília. Bacharel em Direito pelo Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal - UDF (2008). Membro da carreira de Especialista em Políticas Públicas e Gestão Governamental (EPPGG) do Ministério da Gestão e Inovação, já tendo desempenhado funções de assessoramento na Escola Nacional de Administração Pública, no Ministério da Fazenda, no Conselho Nacional de Justiça e na Secretaria Especial de Modernização do Estado da Presidência da República. Realiza pesquisas sobre as relações entre Poder Executivo e Judiciário, com ênfase nas relações entre tribunais e agências reguladoras. Tem realizado estudos sobre gestão, modernização e aprimoramento da governança em instituições públlicas.
