Abstract

This article presents a reflection on the newsociability tendency that is currently present in theBrazilian society, in which the strength use is adoptedas one of the main tools for conflicts resolution. Inthis context, the state role on conflicts administrationis analyzed, with focus on how the implementationpatterns of justice administration mechanisms canhave important impacts on the strength adoption asa rule for conflicts administration. Finally, the publicpolicies role with focus on community mechanismsfor conflicts administration and centered on Statecommunitypartnerships is analyzed, with emphasis ontheir potential contribution for violence prevention andfor changing this emerging sociability pattern.
