WORK AND YOUTH IN THE CONTEMPORARY CONTEXT: INTRODUCTORY REFLECTIONS

Abstract

To think about work in capitalism is to show how social and production relations are constituted. As the work is thought by the ruling class and how it understands the working class, it leads us to the reflections on the antagonisms that configure the society of classes in the time of the capital. In a process of historical determinations that downgrade workers to the condition of cheap, substitutable labor, a cut of this study was traced to the social, political, cultural, and economic youth facing the contradictions of this time in relation to their relationship in the world of work. In this way, this text, based on a critical perspective, presents a bibliographical and documentary analysis about youth and the world of work, aiming to reflect the national scenario focused on the working conditions or absence of them, for contemporary Brazilian youth.
