This article examines the possibility of preserving a conception of justice between generations and the value of dignity, considering that over time society evolves and new interests and objectives come into play. As a hypothesis, we maintain that the guidelines should be practical and public, enough to maintain stability and justice within societies, considering that the foundation of a State over time present deformations due to historical contingencies, social trends, individual opportunities among others, that can undermine the ideals of a fair and reasonable agreement on a fair and sustainable society project. In this context, the formation of a public reason is fundamental in order to strengthen the bonds between individuals, the dialogue of knowledge and the ideas that will guide the projects for the present and the future of the generations. Working from the liberal-egalitarian theory of John Rawls and other theorists of contemporary political philosophy, the research is exploratory and uses as a method of approach the hypothetico-deductive.
