Juventudes e suas leituras: perfil cultural de alunos do nível médio no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciências e Tecnologia de Goiás (IFG – GO)

Este artigo trata de uma pesquisa que objetivou investigar os hábitos culturais dos alunos ingressantes na educação profissional técnica de nível médio do Instituto Federal de Goiás – Goiânia. O corpus envolveu 192 alunos no ano de 2013. A metodologia utilizada foi de caráter quantitativo para a coleta de dados. Também houve reflexões teórico-metodológicas para auxílio na leitura dos resultados encontrados, sobretudo as teorias de Bordieu em torno da vida simbólica e das questões envolvendo cultura. A partir dos resultados, encontram-se subsídios para melhor adequação no desenvolvimento de práticas acadêmicas que visam à ampliação do horizonte cultural dos jovens por meio da leitura e das artes de um modo geral.
