A Indústria cultural e a produção do livro infantil

Estudou-se a relação estabelecida entre o livro de literatura infantil e o ambiente escolar considerando a influência da indústria editorial na circulação do livro, bem como no uso que lhe é atribuído. Tomando o conceito de indústria cultural como referencial teórico, observou-se que o mercado do livro assume responsabilidades que originariamente seriam da escola, no que se refere à seleção dos livros e às atividades a serem desenvolvidas com as obras no contexto escolar. As ações do mercado emprestam ao livro de literatura infantil um caráter exclusivamente escolar, contribuindo para transformar o texto literário em livro didático.
