Abstract

This paper presents a study on referring narratives, images and poems to the River Paraná. It is treated to understand them from the traditions on the rivers, waters, the border, legal and the forms of production of knowing in the classrooms of the region West to them of the Paraná. It has been broken of an activity of form education carried through to interdisciplinar where one used European stories as material of work for the education of Portuguese and History. In this text, it is looked to demonstrate the importance to use local histories for the pertaining to school activities therefore represent an unexplored potential for the construction of the knowledge and as a form to evidence our traditions.
