Abstract

This is a cross-sectional descriptive study with a qualitative approach aimed at understanding the perceptions of users from a CAPSad in the Metropolitan Region of Recife regarding the actions of Physical Education professionals. A focus group was conducted with 12 users undergoing rehabilitation, identifying that alcohol and tobacco were the most experimented drugs and that physical activities experienced by users are mainly sports, conducted only within the CAPS facilities. The lack of space and material resources were reported as the main limitations. Users recognize the sense of happiness and the importance of activities led by Physical Education professionals for their mental well-being and overall health, contributing to the improvement of their conditions.
