Características para especialização do goleiro de handebol: indicadores a partir do discurso de treinadores brasileiros da categoria sub-16

Abstract

Studies involving handball goalkeepers were carried out with adult (male) and professional athletes but, when dealing with specialization, there are differences in the sports training process of young players. This study identified the characteristics for the specialization of the handball goalkeeper based on the speeches of U-16 teams’ coaches. Nineteen male and/or female team coaches were interviewed. The speeches were analyzed based on the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method. The five CSD highlighted, among others, the development of a specific technique based on a varied motor repertoire along with decision-making, as characteristics to be emphasized during specialization, with a view to understanding and enjoying the game.
