Football coaches often face stressful working conditions, which can lead to the development of symptoms associated with burnout syndrome. This study followed the PRISMA protocol guidelines to conduct a systematic review on the topic, analyzing 11 articles published between 2010 and 2024 in different databases. The search was conducted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish using terms related to burnout in football coaches. The inclusion criteria considered studies published during the specified period, involving coaches of both sexes and available in full text. The results showed that burnout in coaches is associated with pressure for results, long working hours, lack of social and organizational support, interpersonal conflicts, and cultural aspects, with negative impacts on mental health and professional performance. Psychological support and professional development programs stand out as preventive strategies essential for reducing stress and preventing burnout. It is concluded that the well-being of coaches depends on a preventive approach and the strengthening of working conditions.
