Abstract

The study aims to map and analyze the scientific production in the format of final graduation papers in Physical Education at the Federal University of Goiás on Early Childhood Education from 1996 to 2019. Through the State of the Art, the productions related to Early Childhood Education were identified. The data categorization is supported by the theoretical framework of Bracht et al. (2011) in the categories Foundation and Intervention. The results indicate a prominence of studies that seek theoretical foundation in the critical/progressive approaches of Physical Education, as well as the investigation about the pedagogical practice of the area in Early Childhood Education in the undergraduate course. A growing interest was observed in recent years for the investigative treatment of the theme in the undergraduate course analyzed.
